Where Are We
The Shipwrecked Mariners’ Society – a truly national charity…
Today, the Shipwrecked Mariners’ Society operates across the entire country, with its main headquarters in Chichester, West Sussex.
Our volunteer network of 200 Honorary Agents helps us do our work across the British Isles. These agents are situated mainly in port areas, offering fundraising support or acting as case-workers or visitors for ex-mariners in need and their dependants.
UK coastal areas are also dotted with our iconic red collecting mines which were donated by the Admiral in recognition of the support the Society gave to seamen during World War II – if you spot one on your travels, please stop and make a donation. The Shipwrecked Mariners’ Society is grateful for donations of any size as they are one of the key sources of financial support enabling us to help so many ex-seafarers and their families across the country.
