A monetary gift, small or large, one-off or regular, is always appreciated and assists us greatly in our day-to-day work and planning for the future. We rely heavily on generous donations from the public, who share our concern for men and women who have served at sea and suffer hardship at a time when they are most vulnerable.
It’s easy to make a donation of any size. You may choose to:
Send it by post
Post your donation at any time to 1 North Pallant, Chichester, PO19 1TL. Cheques should be made payable to Shipwrecked Mariners’ Society.

Give regularly by Standing Order
If you would like to make a regular donation by Standing Order, please let us know and we will send you the necessary form. The Society very much appreciates such regular support, which provides a steady source of income and helps us plan for the future.
Don’t forget to ‘Gift Aid’ it
If you pay income tax or capital gains tax, all your donations can be treated as Gift Aid. This means for every £1 that you donate, the Society can claim an additional 25 pence from the tax man. It is only necessary to sign one form to cover all donations, until you notify us otherwise. Full instructions and the appropriate forms are available by contacting us at our central office in Chichester. There is also a quick-and-easy option to ‘Gift Aid’ your contribution when you donate online – just tick the box when indicated.
